About the Program

Our internship program offers students and young professionals practical experience in the field of translation and localization. You’ll have the chance to collaborate with a skilled team of over 400 language experts, enhance your linguistic abilities, and gain valuable insights into the industry. Whether your goal is to become a professional translator, project manager, or localization specialist, this program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for success.

Qualifications for Interns

To be eligible for the internship, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Studying/completed degree: Translation, Linguistics, Foreign Languages, or related
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, quality-focused
  • Flexible to work remotely or on-site.
  • Proficiency in other languages is preferred, but not required.

About the Program

Before applying, please ensure you can meet the following requirements:

  • Available for at least 2 months of internship
  • Commitment of 20 weekly hours
  • Access to a stable internet connection and a personal computer if working remotely.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong communication skills, with a particular emphasis on writing, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Pass background check 

Responsibilities and Tasks

As an intern at The Translation Company, you will gain experience in translation project management through tasks such as:

  • Translating documents in fields like technical, medical, marketing, and legal.
  • Proofreading and editing translations for accuracy and quality.
  • Assisting project managers in coordinating assignments and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Conducting quality assurance checks.
  • Supporting the development of glossaries and translation memories.
  • Learning to use translation and localization tools effectively.
  • Office management skills 
  • Project management skills

Internship Pay

As an intern at The Translation Company, you will gain experience in translation project management through tasks such as:

  • Earn $10 per hour, with potential adjustments based on experience and performance.
  • Top performers may be considered for full-time positions upon completion of the internship.
  • Recommendation letter at the end of internship.
