NYCT - New York Circle of Translators

Features

The New York Circle of Translators (NYCT), which began in 1979 as a small group of dinner companions, has become a New York State not-for-profit corporation with several hundred members. It is governed by a set of Bylaws which regulate the internal affairs of the association. Our members are independent translators and interpreters as well as companies and organizations. NYCT is a chapter of the American Translators Association (ATA) which is, in turn, an affiliate of the International Federation of Translators (FIT).
NYCT members work in a variety of languages and specialties in industry, law, finance, commerce, the arts and academia. Our translators and interpreters are
committed to the exchange of ideas and mutual support. Another goal is to educate the general public about the professional nature of interpreting and translating.
