ATIEC – Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ecuador

Features

The Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ecuador was legally constituted on September 12, 2007 the Ministry of Education. This Association was originated due to the wide range of informal translation services in multiple languages and the necessity by translators and interpreters for support.
It includes professional translators and interpreters, both nationals and foreigners residing in Ecuador. It aims to ensure translation quality through a system of certification and training and through regular publications and workshops.
The Association ensures the maintenance of ethical standards, promotes business practices and encourages language skills.
Finally, the Association sponsors the exchange with governmental and nongovernmental agencies and associations that pursue similar goals.
