ATIS which is the only association of certified translators and interpreters in the province of Saskatchewan, is committed to high professional standards in its translation and interpretation services.

 

HISTORY

The Association of Translators and Interpreters of Saskatchewan was incorporated in 1980 with the aim of fostering and promoting translation and interpretation
in the province. It is a non-profit professional association and an affiliate of the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council (CTTIC).

 

THE OBJECTIVES ARE:

a) to provide a collective voice for its members;
b) to ensure that members exercise the profession in accordance with its Code of Professional Ethics; and
c) to give users of translation and interpretation services access to a body of competent professionals.

 

FOUNDING MEMBERS

The Association of Translators and Interpreters of Saskatchewan was incorporated in 1980 by a group of Founding Members with a common interest in and concern for translation and interpretation. Their aim was to foster and promote these professions in the province and to provide representation from Saskatchewan
on the national Canadian Translators, Terminologists, and Interpreters Council (CTTIC), a member society of the F?d?ration internationale des traducteurs (FIT).

  • Certified Members Annual Membership – $150
  • Associate Members Annual Membership – $100
  • Affiliate Members Annual Membership – $100
  • Student Members Annual Membership – $20

 

Exam Fee Per Type Of Exam

  • ATIS Admission exam (Associate level) – $250
  • ATIS Certification Exam – $600 + Tax
  • ATIS On-dossier Certification – $450 (for now)
